L.A.M.B.
Born over 4 years ago, the L.A.M.B. label has been getting UK love of late, spurred on by the recent release of Gwennie’s sophomore set. “I just wanted to do something else that I could do for the rest of my life, that’s creative and I’m passionate about. Obviously I’m not going to be doing this (music) forever, Gwen told us recently.
Rapper Eve helped inspire Stefani to start L.A.M.B. after the collaborators gelled, making their own costumes for the “Let Me Blow Your Mindâ€ video. “Now she actually works with me on the line,â€ says Gwen. “The last collection was inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer in the movie Scarface.â€ More wearable than Stefani’s own flamboyant dress sense, yet equally as fabulous, dahling, the label is for ladies only. Described as a “contemporary collection with a very feminine, focused taste,â€ you can expect leopard-print leggings and killer dresses. Surely this is just another yawn-yawn celebrity venture? Wrong. We give L.A.M.B. kudos because the lady behind it used to actually sew her own outfitsâ€Â¦ needles to say, she’s a tad too busy these days.
