Originally released in 1972 by Trojan Records, the 'Reggae Reggae (Vol. Two)' LP is renowned for its iconic sleeve featuring a group of stylish suedeheads against the unexpected backdrop of Brixton railway arches.

However, the album offers much more than just a striking cover. The music contained within the grooves stands among the finest reggae of that era. Trojan just seemed to have an endless treasure trove

Featuring twelve tracks produced by the increasingly influential Alvin 'G.G.' Ranglin, the album showcases a mix of exceptional vocal, DJ, and instrumental tracks performed by some of the most talented and popular Jamaican artists of the time. Notably, Dennis Brown, The Ethiopians, Dennis Alcapone, and The Maytones contribute to this sterling collection.

The following year, Trojan released another equally remarkable compilation of Ranglin's work, titled 'Pipeline,' which also featured unconventional packaging. These two essential long-players take center stage in this indispensable 2CD release.

Previously unavailable on any format since their original release, both LPs are now enhanced by the inclusion of Ranglin's best productions from 1971-72. This selection includes hits and long-lost rarities from that period, many of which have been inaccessible since the early 1970s.

As part of a series of 2CD sets highlighting the output of one of Jamaican music's most successful yet under-appreciated producers, this compilation is a must-have for all discerning connoisseurs of classic reggae sounds of the highest quality. There are hidden gems here…..
