Apollo Suns, hail from Winnipeg, Canada and with this sterling platter their star is most definitely in ascendancy.

They have put together a cohesive and mightily impressive pack of instrumental back yard jams that are bound to please connoisseurs of the groove.

It’s tough sounding especially the bass playing that sounds like J.J. Burnel funking it out. It’s a heavy horn laden piece too with scintillating blowing over tight and well constructed arrangements.

The group is founder Ed Durocher (Guitar), Tim Iskierski (Drums), Erika Einarson (Percussion), Bryn Herperger (Bass), Garrett Malenko (Trumpet), Benjamin James Hill (Trombone), Aaron Bartel (Bari Sax) and Anatol Rennie (Keyboards/Synths).They’ve been touring this in the US and their native Canada. Let’s hope they make an indent in to the U.K. too as their heavy funk infusion tastes sweet.
